He must remember why he fights
& when morning falls to noon
& noon into night
He often dreams of a plight
to unify those born dark from light
to bring the left, right so they just might
see that the grass can be greener
but he's just a dreamer
& as those thoughts linger
you can see a change in his demeanor
he contemplates a counter attack on a false sumpremacy
& the imagery of a fallen memory
resurrecting black recollection & revolutionary tendency
but it timids he
waking up to see
a reality of degradation
along with the mis-education
of his nation
genocide
yet they cant erase them
the foundation of all civilization
"will we ever get out this situation??"
onsalught to oppression
prison time to probation
through all this frustration
he must remember why he fights
